In the last meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, different agreements have been reached, which modify the composition of the Board and the Management of the entity.
Cristina Maragall i Garrigosa has been appointed President of the Board of Trustees, providing continuity on the commitment and legacy of Pasqual Maragall and Diana Garrigosa. In this sense, Airy Maragall Garrigosa has also joined the Board of Trustees as a member. On the other hand, after 12 years of intense dedication, Dr. Jordi Camí, Director of the Foundation since its creation, has been appointed 3rd Vice President of the Board of Trustees.
In replacement of Dr. Jordi Camí, Dr. Arcadi Navarro has been appointed Director of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation. Dr.Navarro will combine this position with his current position as Director of the Barcelona βeta Brain Research Center.
Dr. Navarro holds a PhD in Biology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He is a full a professor of Genetics and ICREA Research Professor at the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. From January 2016 to July 2018, he served as Secretary for Universities and Research of the Department of Enterprise and Knowledge of the Generalitat de Catalunya. In April 2019 he was appointed Director of the Barcelona βeta Brain Research Center.
