This research model is based on non-conventional projects, seeking breakthroughs via the creation of interdisciplinary teams.
On May 10 and 11, the foundation will host a conference to be held at CosmoCaixa Barcelona to analyse successful experiences in transformative research in the field of life sciences.
The speakers include Carl Rhodes from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Wilhelm Krull from the Volkswagen Foundation and other representatives from institutions such as the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, European Research Council and Welcome Trust.
