We renew the collaboration agreement with Santalucía

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation and Santalucía have renewed our collaboration agreement after a year of alliance in the fight against Alzheimer's. The insurance company will continue to participate in the Foundation's program of care for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's, where clinical psychology professionals work to improve the quality of life of caregivers.

This way, Santalucía will continue to support the Foundation's 72 therapeutic groups, made up of 740 caregivers in 7 Spanish citiesThe aim of the programme is to improve the quality of life of caregivers by providing a space in which to share their experiences and emotions, and by teaching them how to care for the sick.

The agreement is part of Santalucía's CSR and Sustainability plan “Committed to the environment” and seeks to promote a line of work with active ageing. The objective of its line of action is the promotion of projects for inclusion, participation and safety of the elderly, in addition to support for informal caregivers.

Emma Marín, Corporate Director of Communication and CSR at Santalucía, has assured that “At times like these, renewing alliances is more necessary than ever for a group that has been particularly affected by the impact of the pandemic.”
