On Saturday, February 17, a conference took place in the Pasqual Maragall Foundation building New Open House Day, aimed at our social base and participants in the different studies we develop. Throughout the day, some 90 people attended the guided tours of the different spaces of our headquarters where we develop our studies.
During the meeting, members, donors and participants of the entity were received by the Dr Oriol Grau, neurologist and head of the Clinical Research Group and Risk Factors for Neurodegenerative Diseases of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, who was responsible for explaining what the Beta-AARC project, a study that focuses on the factors that influence the onset of the disease and the detection of biomarkers to identify people at increased risk of developing Alzheimer's before the first symptoms appear.
The visitors then went to the laboratory and then to the resonance room for the explanation by Lluís Solsona, MRI technician.
The objective of these conferences is that both our social base and the participants have the opportunity to learn about the spaces where the different teams of the Foundation work to achieve a future without Alzheimer's.
