At the last meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, various agreements were reached that modify the composition of the Board of Trustees and the Management of the entity.
Cristina Maragall i Garrigosa, current spokesperson, has been appointed President of the Board of Trustees, continuing the commitment and legacy of Pasqual Maragall and Diana Garrigosa. In this sense, Airy Maragall i Garrigosa has also joined the Board of Trustees as a member. On the other hand, after 12 years of intense dedication, Dr. Jordi Camí, Director of the Foundation since its creation, has been appointed 3rd Vice President of the Board of Trustees.
Replacing Dr. Jordi Camí, Dr. Arcadi Navarro has been appointed Director of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, a position that he will combine with the direction of the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center.
Dr. Navarro holds a PhD in Biology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, is a professor of genetics and ICREA research professor at the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences at the Pompeu Fabra University. From January 2016 to July 2018 he served as Secretary of Universities and Research at the Department of Business and Knowledge of the Generalitat de Catalunya. In April 2019 he was appointed director of the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center.
