A graduate in Business Administration and MBA from ESADE (Barcelona), the École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Paris and New York University, and CEO of Irestal Group, he is an honorary patron of FemCAT, a private business foundation, and a member of the board of trustees of the Fundació Enciclopèdia Catalana and of the board of trustees of the Centre for International Studies and Documentation in Barcelona (CIDOB). In the academic world, from 2008 to 2013 he held the position of President of the Social Council of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
