Antonio Garcia Ferrer

He holds a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He has been a tenured professor at the University of Alcalá de Henares, a Fulbright visiting professor at the University of Chicago, and a visiting professor at Lancaster University (United Kingdom). Since 1983 he has been a professor of Econometrics and Statistical Methods in the Department of Economic Analysis: Quantitative Economics at the Autonomous University of Madrid. He was director of the Master's degree in Public Finance at the Institute of Fiscal Studies (1989-1993) and coordinator of the Economics Area of the National Agency for Evaluation and Prospective (2000-2001). He has published seven books and more than 60 research articles on econometrics, time series, Bayesian statistics, unobservable component models, economic prediction, and transport.
