From the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, we have held a meeting at our headquarters with our Strategic partners and donors to share with them the latest advances in Alzheimer's research that we carry out at the Foundation and the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center, our research center. The meeting brought together numerous collaborators who have contributed significantly to the development and sustainability of the projects we carry out.
During the day, attendees were welcomed by Gloria Oliver, manager of the Foundation and the BBRC, who highlighted the commitment of the more than 80,000 members who form part of our social base and the importance of science as the only way to achieve a future without Alzheimer's.
Also, the Dr. Marc Suarez-Calvet, Head of the BBRC fluid and translational neurology research group, has given the scientific seminar “Alzheimer’s: a paradigm shift in research”The importance of new treatments in tackling the disease was highlighted. Throughout the meeting, attendees were able to exchange ideas, ask questions to experts and share perspectives.
The event concluded with a visit to the institution's facilities to show where our Alzheimer's research studies are carried out.
