For yet another year, the Pasqual Maragall Foundation's Patronage Council, made up of 14 companies, entities and institutions, has renewed its support for Alzheimer's research.
This key body of the Foundation is composed of the “la Caixa” Foundation, the ACS Foundation, Barcelona City Council, Barcelona Provincial Council, Endesa, Allianz, the Ramón Areces Foundation, Moventia, the Banco Sabadell Foundation, Libra GP, Aguas de Barcelona, Eurofragance, the FIATC Foundation and Vopi4. Some of the members of the board have shown their commitment to the Foundation since its inception in 2008. In addition, this year they have also attended the Board meeting as strategic collaborating entities. Naccari Ravà Foundation, EDM and Ham Group.
During the session, which took place on April 17 at the headquarters of the Foundation, the Dr. Arcadi Navarro, director of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation and the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center, shared the management report. Next, the Dr Oriol Grau, head of the clinical research group, gave a scientific seminar on the context of Alzheimer's treatments and drug development, as well as the panorama of prevention and intervention studies in the disease. The 2023 awards ceremony for the corporate and personal commitment to the Foundation's project, which was presented by Cristina Maragall and Jordi Camí.
