The Pasqual Maragall Foundation celebrates a new open day

On Saturday 16 December, an Open Day was held at the Pasqual Maragall Foundation building for our social base and participants in the different studies we carry out. Throughout the day, around 60 people attended guided tours of the new laboratory, the magnetic resonance room and the rest of the infrastructure at our headquarters.

During the meeting, members, donors and participants of the entity received an informative talk from Gloria Oliver, manager of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation. The visitors then went to the laboratory and then to the resonance room for an explanation by the Dr. Karine Fauria, director of the Scientific Coordination Unit of our research center, the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC). The visit ended in the room where we carry out the therapeutic groups, led by Elena of Andres, psychologist and coordinator of group programs for caregivers at the Pasqual Maragall Foundation.

The objective of these days is that both our social base and the participants have the opportunity to learn about the spaces where the different teams of the Foundation work to achieve a future without Alzheimer's.
