The ninth edition of STEAMConf Barcelona, the international conference on learning based on the STEAM methodology, took place from 18 to 20 April around the Parc de la Ciutadella, within the framework of the “Ciutadella del Conocimiento”. The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was one of the main partners of the conference and also one of the venues of the event.

During the three days of the meeting, the Foundation hosted various activities aimed at training teachers. Among them was the visit-workshop led by Nina Gramunt, neuropsychologist expert in training and dissemination of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation and Anna Soteras, Head of the Clinical Operations and Project Management Office, Aitana Plaza, nurse, and Alba Canas, neuropsychologist, all three experts from the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC).

Under the title “Learn how clinical research works with BBRC participants”, questions such as how the participant circuit works, what cognitive tests are, and what the role of nursing and neuropsychology staff is were discussed.

The organisers of the 2024 edition of STEAMConf Barcelona wanted to delve deeper into the interaction and experience between educational centres and cutting-edge science and technology, bringing the classroom closer to the real world and seeking solutions to tangible challenges.
