He 2024 has been a year full of successes that have brought us closer to Our purpose: a future without Alzheimer'sThese are some of the milestones achieved:

1. We validate the centiloid metric as a reliable tool for measuring amyloid plaques linked to Alzheimer's.
2. We continue to work to make Alzheimer's and dementia a strategic political priority through actions such as the presentation of the report "Proposals for a new prioritization of Alzheimer's in Spain” or sending a Open letter to political representatives in the context of the elections to the Parliament of Catalonia.
3. We provided 1.6M€ to the two winning projects of the second edition of the Pasqual Maragall Researchers Program (PMRP) scholarships and we open the call for the third edition.
4. We promote the campaign “Alzheimer's research has a name and surname: Pasqual Maragall Foundation"to highlight the importance of people affected by the disease as well as the professionals who work to combat it.
5. We show that the cerebral blood flow decreases in asymptomatic stages of Alzheimer's.
6. We identified that a diet rich in omega-3 fats, both plant and marine in origin, may be key to preventing Alzheimer's, especially during middle age.
7. We celebrate 10 years of the Alfa study, one of the most complex and participatory research infrastructures in the world, with a cohort of nearly 2,700 people.
8. We successfully closed the fundraising campaign “The Biggest Lie About Alzheimer's”. Donations will go to the Beta-AARC study to detect people at risk of Alzheimer's.
9. We continue to raise awareness about Alzheimer's prevention with the "When you take care of yourself, Alzheimer's takes a step back”, debunking myths throughout Spain and the fifth edition of the series of talks “Remember”.
10. We promote the 7th edition of Brain Film Fest 2024 This year we focused on the ages of the brain as a common thread, and we awarded director Maite Alberdi with the Special Brain Film Fest Award for “The infinite memory”.

And we ended the year with more than 90,000 members!!
