At the April 10, At the ADDA Auditorium in Alicante, we will award one of the research grants. Pasqual Maragall Researchers Programme (PMRP) to the Dr. Silvia De Santis, Head of the Translational Imaging Biomarkers group at the Alicante Institute of Neurosciences, CSIC – UMH, whose project focuses on applying new technology to analyze the state of the immune system through brain scans of participants in the Alfa study, supported by the "la Caixa" Foundation.
In addition, during the event, a new informative talk on Alzheimer's prevention will be offered, "When you take care of yourself, Alzheimer's takes a step back”, led by Dr Nina Gramunt Fombuena, a neuropsychologist and education and outreach specialist at the Foundation. During the session, she will discuss Alzheimer’s prevention strategies and present the latest advances in Alzheimer’s research, both in early detection and treatment. She will answer questions from the audience at the end of the session and clear up any doubts.
