Context

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was created in 2008 with the mission of promoting and developing excellent biomedical research. The Foundation is fully committed to being decisive in providing global solutions to the problem of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, as well as to raising social awareness to ensure that scientific support for these challenges achieves the appropriate priority. The Foundation's research is carried out at the Barcelonaßeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), a research center established with the participation of Pompeu Fabra University and "la Caixa" Foundation.

The vision of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation is to achieve a future without Alzheimer's, within the framework of active and healthy ageing that is associated with positive experiences and free of problems and cognitive decline. To this end, BBRC research is aimed at the primary and secondary prevention of Alzheimer's disease, which is possible thanks to the participation of thousands of people who voluntarily contribute to scientific studies to ensure that, in the near future, there will be far fewer people with the disease.

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is a private, non-profit organization. Its financial resources come from philanthropic donations from entities and companies, as well as from an extensive network of more than 90,000 members who contribute to funding research. The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is a young, established and growing foundation that, together with the BBRC, currently has more than 250 members. The scientific team is made up of research staff and professionals from the areas of medicine, biology, psychology and nursing, among others. It also has transversal areas of maintenance, IT, finance, purchasing, human resources, communication and fundraising. All in a dynamic environment, in which continuous challenges are part of the Foundation's scope of work.

Position Description

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is looking for a Responsible for alliances with companies and foundations to join our Strategic Partnerships Area, within the Fundraising team. This person will be essential to implement our corporate fundraising strategy, developing and consolidating alliances with the business and foundation sectors, thus contributing to the sustainability of our projects.

We are looking for a professional with solid experience in corporate fundraising to join the Foundation's Fundraising team to increase the number of companies and foundations that support our mission and maximize the income obtained through these relationships. The candidate will report to the Head of Strategic Partnerships and will lead the fundraising and retention of:

  • Patron.
  • Major corporate and philanthropic alliances.
  • Partner companies.
  • SMEs and businesses.

The Strategic Partnerships Area is part of the Fundraising team, currently made up of 20 people, which fosters a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Main tasks

Strategy:

  • Implement and evolve, together with the person responsible for the area, the fundraising strategy through companies and foundations, identifying new opportunities and cultivating existing alliances.
  • Create clear, persuasive and impactful value propositions to present to different actors, ensuring effective communication that resonates with stakeholders.
  • Build and cultivate long-term relationships based on trust and transparency, achieving mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Design personalized communication cycles adapted to the needs of allied companies and foundations.
  • Manage corporate accounts efficiently, using CRM as a dashboard where all qualitative and quantitative information is recorded to ensure effective and timely communication with donors as well as the maximum development of their potential.
  • Carry out an exhaustive monitoring of the results and main business indicators to optimize the development and retention strategy and maximize income. Innovate continuously, proposing improvements and new ways of attracting customers.
  • Generate relevant and quality content for recruitment campaigns.

Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with other areas of the fundraising department (data, loyalty) and the Foundation (communications, finance, legal, etc.) to ensure the success of the established alliances.
  • Identify and work with key individuals within the Foundation and the BBRC to develop a joint strategy for prospecting and presenting projects to potential corporate partners.

  • High commercial profile with a strong results orientation.
  • Research, prospecting and analysis skills to identify new collaboration opportunities using different techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to create and maintain a network of contacts, both internal and external. Networking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to present high-impact projects and ideas to diverse audiences in a clear, inspiring and confident manner.
  • Ability to work autonomously, showing initiative, leadership and rigor.
  • Teamwork skills and willingness to continually rethink recruitment strategies.

Characteristics of the position

  • Immediate incorporation.

  • Structural position.
  • Contract: permanent, with a 6-month trial period.
  • Schedule: full-time workday of 1,618 hours/year and 38 hours per week.
  • Flexible hours.
  • Hybrid/weekly work model (teleworking + in-person).

  • Salary level according to the Foundation's remuneration policy and in accordance with the employee's experience.

Qualifications and experience

  • University degree in Business Administration, Communication, Public Relations, Marketing,
    Business Studies or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions in non-profit organizations
    for-profit or private sector organizations, with proven results in fundraising.
  • Experience in budget management, to ensure the profitability of the
    actions carried out.
  • High knowledge of the private sector and Social Responsibility policies
    Corporate (CSR, ESG).
  • Experience in project management, decision making and meeting deadlines.
  • Languages: Catalan and Spanish (native level), and English (high).
  • Mastery of data analysis and segmentation tools, as well as the package
    Office.
