Internship: Data Analyst at the Pasqual Maragall Foundation

Context

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was created in 2008 with the mission of promoting and developing excellent biomedical research. The Foundation is fully committed to being decisive in providing global solutions to the problem of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, as well as to raising social awareness to ensure that scientific support for these challenges achieves the appropriate priority. The Foundation's research is carried out at the Barcelonaßeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), a research center established with the participation of Pompeu Fabra University and "la Caixa".

The vision of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation is to achieve "A future without Alzheimer's", within the framework of active and healthy ageing that is associated with positive experiences and free of problems and cognitive decline. To this end, BBRC research is aimed at the primary and secondary prevention of Alzheimer's disease, which is possible thanks to the participation of thousands of people who voluntarily contribute to scientific studies to ensure that, in the near future, there will be far fewer people with Alzheimer's disease.

Along with research into Alzheimer's prevention, other scientific projects are being developed aimed at better understanding the mechanisms of memory and its alterations, and thus obtaining methods and techniques for its protection, stimulation and repair.

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is a private, non-profit organization. Its financial resources come from philanthropic donations from entities and companies, as well as from an extensive network of more than 90,000 members who contribute to funding research. The scientific staff of the research center also obtains competitive grants and subsidies, mainly from European funds and international foundations. For more information, visit our websites:
