This is an initiative promoted by the Pasqual Maragall Foundation with the aim of generating knowledge, collaboration and exchange between the actors involved in addressing these diseases, supporting decision-making and contributing to the cohesion and strength of the sector.
The report was prepared with the participation of experts from more than 30 scientific, health and social organizations, to promote a comprehensive approach to Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

Bibliometric studies offer an overview of scientific production on Alzheimer's and dementia in Spain and around the world, collecting indicators of volume, number of researchers, impact, excellence and international collaboration, among others.
Attitude and perception surveys provide information on the opinions of the Spanish population on different aspects related to Alzheimer's, as well as the degree of knowledge, proximity and concern regarding this disease.
The dossier, prepared in 2021, analyses the social, economic and health impact of Alzheimer's disease in Spain. It also addresses the state of research into its prevention.
