More than 300 people have attended a new informative session "When you take care of yourself, Alzheimer's takes a step back", held in the College of Physicians of Navarra in Pamplona, an initiative framed within our work of social awareness.
He Dr. Chema González de Echávarri, a neurologist in charge of the Cognitive Disorders Unit at the Joan XXIII Hospital in Tarragona and a neurologist at the Foundation, was responsible for leading the event. During his presentation, he emphasized the importance of lifestyle in brain health and in preventing Alzheimer's. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of following a Mediterranean diet, avoiding ultra-processed foods, saturated fats, red meat, and cured meats, as well as incorporating regular physical exercise into one's routine, a key aspect not only for physical health but also for mental well-being.

He also delved into the latest advances in research, both in diagnosis and treatment, and emphasized that we are facing a paradigm shift in Alzheimer's research.
