We participated in a new edition of the Open Day of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park

Under the motto "We make science happen", the open day of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park seeks to raise awareness on the street about the activities of the centres that make up the Park.
We participated in a new edition of the Open Day of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park

Every October, the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) holds an open day, OpenPRBB, with the aim of bringing the research work carried out by the centres that make up this infrastructure closer to the public, through free activities such as workshops, talks and guided tours of the laboratories.

This year, we have collaborated in the meeting with the workshop “Paint your neuron”, a craft space designed especially for the little ones. In the Foundation's space, it was also possible to play the memory game "Numbers not to forget", where all those who came could test their knowledge of some relevant data on Alzheimer's.

Besides, Dr. Ana Fernandez-Arcos, neurologist and researcher in the Clinical Research Group and Risk Factors for Neurodegenerative Diseases of the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), offered the Scientific micro-talk “Sleeping well to live better. The impact of sleep on your brain and your health.” Dr. Fernández-Arcos stressed the importance of good sleep hygiene to maintain good physical and mental health, outlining the requirements for quality sleep.

Nearly 1,200 people attended the different activities of OpenPRBB 2024, taught by 250 volunteers who work in the eight research centers that make up the Park.
