The meeting took place within the framework of the 2019 IWF Cornerstone Conference, held in Barcelona
Last April 11th, the Pasqual Maragall Foundation welcomed 50 members of the International Women Forum (IWF), an organization comprised of more than 7.000 diverse and accomplished women from all over the world. Its mission is to make progress in feminine leadership both at a global and local scale and to break apart the glass ceilings that weigh upon women in many professional sectors.
The visit was paid within the framework of the 2019 IWF Cornerstone Conference, held at the Centre de Convencions Internacionals of Barcelona from the 10th to the 12th of April. It’s one of the two global conferences organized by IWF to defend women’s potential and talent and exchange ideas.
Meanwhile, the attendants could discover some of the most emblematic landmarks in Barcelona, like the Liceu theatre, the City Council or Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia. In this route, up to 50 of them visited the Pasqual Maragall Foundation. They had the opportunity of getting to know first-hand the pioneering scientific research and the social projects that are developed in our facilities in order to fight back Alzheimer’s disease.
The meeting was concluded with a toast and a group picture to immortalize the synergy between female leaders and the Pasqual Maragall Foundation in the joint challenge of materializing gender equality in the field of knowledge.
